#diwodo 2024 – ingenit looks back on Dortmund Digital Week
Once again this year, #diwodo (Dortmund Digital Week) was a complete success – not only for the organizers, but for us as well.
Once again this year, #diwodo (Dortmund Digital Week) was a complete success – not only for the organizers, but for us as well. From September 23 to 28, Dortmund once again showcased itself as an innovative hub for digital trends and solutions. Numerous IT professionals, marketing experts and representatives of SMEs, large corporations and the public sector took the opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest developments in digitalization. The wide range of talks, workshops and networking events showed how dynamic and forward-looking the region is.
Two highlights stood out for us: under our brand 123domain.eu, we gave our online talk “Successful domain strategies – opportunities and challenges for startups and companies”. In this engaging presentation, we offered insights into the domain industry and discussed various strategies. Participants took home tips for building or adapting their own domain strategy. Using practical examples, we showed how a well-thought-out digital strategy can help secure competitive advantages and increase efficiency within a company. We were delighted by the positive feedback from participants, which showed that the topic remains highly relevant.
Alongside the expert talks, #diwodo offered plenty of networking opportunities. Another highlight here was the club evening of IT-Club Dortmund. Founders, IT managers and managing directors from the region met there in a relaxed atmosphere. After two short talks by our neighbor Lachmann & Rink GmbH and by Point 8 GmbH, all participants listened to the keynote by Volker Jürgens, CIO of Werdohl-based Vossloh AG. He gave fascinating insights into how a rail infrastructure company is driving digitalization and using it to open up new business areas. Besides the captivating keynote, it was impressive to see how diverse the participants were and how open and engaged everyone was in conversation.
Networking at #diwodo not only brought us exciting new contacts, but also many interesting conversations and valuable insights into the industry's current challenges and Dortmund's development potential. From the founder spirit of startups to the strategic approaches of management teams and CTOs – there was something for everyone. Events like this show how important it is to encourage dialogue between a wide range of players in order to shape the digital future together.
We are looking forward to the next #diwodo and are curious about what lies ahead. But we don't want to wait that long, and we are looking forward to the next IT-Club Dortmund club evening next month: on November 14, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., we will introduce ourselves in a short talk before the current and former CIO of FH Dortmund (Dortmund University of Applied Sciences) present the university's IT strategy in a keynote. We look forward to being there again and talking with attendees. Join us, and let's take the next steps in digital transformation together!
