ingenit celebrates its 20th birthday

This year will be a very special one for software specialist ingenit. The Dortmund-based company, headquartered in the TechnologieZentrum, is celebrating its 20th birthday. There will be a number of offline and online activities for friends, clients and employees.

Thomas Klute, founder and current Managing Director of ingenit, still remembers the first year well: “I founded the company because the opportunity arose during my studies. The situation with the then still new medium of the internet looked very promising and interesting.” So the first premises were rented in the TechnologieZentrum Dortmund, and loyal clients were won.

From the very beginning, the company specialized in consulting on digital business processes. Over the years, further core competencies have been added: ingenit develops custom software for clients of all industries and sizes and advises them on the challenges of digital progress. The original registration of domains with a few registries has been further professionalized. Under its own brand 123domain.eu, enterprise domain management ranges from registering all available domain extensions to handling special cases.

“Over the past 20 years, ingenit has grown steadily in terms of the number of projects, revenue and employees,” confirms fellow Managing Director Marc-Christian Schröer. No wonder the company is currently looking for new colleagues.

Meanwhile, the next move to new, larger premises is coming up. Flexible workstations will be set up for the development department so that teams can come together as each project requires. There will also be a large common room for shared lunches or spontaneous meetings.
