ingenit again supports student

The shortage of skilled workers - especially in the IT sector - is also noticeable in Dortmund. And this despite the fact that many computer scientists are trained at private and public universities in the city. In order to promote contact between students and medium-sized IT companies, the IT Club launched the "Dortmunder Modell Mittelstandsstipendium" (DOMO) initiative years ago.

The participating companies award at least one scholarship of 500 euros each for two semesters to students from the IT sector. In addition to financial support, applicants benefit from networking with the aim of potential cooperation.

Students apply directly to the IT Club and can present themselves to companies at the kick-off event in so-called speed dates. Subsequently, both sides submit a mutual evaluation. Applicants who find a company particularly exciting and companies that have a particularly good impression of the applicant should be brought together in this way. Only such a connection promises a positive development in the future.

Since our participation in the DOMO was successful last year, we are again awarding a scholarship this year. Our scholarship holder Elena Shashko attracted our attention both with her communicative personality and her professional background. It was all the more pleasing that it was based on reciprocity and that we were brought together as scholarship holders and sponsors.

Elena successfully studies Applied Computer Science at the TU Dortmund with the application subject Service Informatics. In the future she wants to develop web applications and will soon graduate with a bachelor's degree. In addition to her studies in software development, Elena is currently completing a two-month internship with us. She gains insights into modern front-end development for web applications and supports us in current projects in this area.

We wish Elena that she will successfully complete her studies and continue to enjoy software development. We are very happy about the time we spent with her and the support we received from our scholarship. We are grateful that our participation in DOMO has been so successful for us again this year.
