Last Saturday, it was time once again to spend time together on our company outing. And for us, that doesn't just mean meeting colleagues, but also their families. Because we traditionally invite our employees' partners and children to our company outing too – so that team spirit can turn into genuine togetherness.

This year, we visited “Erlebt was e.V.”, an association that creates active learning environments in nature in Dortmund. Here, adventure, challenges, and lots of fun are perfectly combined.

The highlight of the day was the 16-meter-high climbing tower. Whether outside on the climbing walls, in the net, or inside with a view over the railing, there was something for everyone. While the adults demonstrated their climbing skills, the children first tried their hand at archery. After a joint cake break – the delicious cakes were baked and contributed by the employees themselves – the groups swapped roles: the kids climbed high, while the adults showed their accuracy with bow and arrow.

The weather was perfect, allowing us to spend the whole day outside. To finish off, there was delicious food from the grill, salads, and everything else you would expect from a tasty barbecue buffet. While the children played soccer and the families mingled, there was plenty of time for conversation, sharing, and laughter.

Our conclusion: A great day that once again showed how important shared experiences are—beyond the workplace. They not only strengthen team spirit, but also create lasting memories.
